The Colonials Synchronized Skating Teams and Team Excel are excited to announce a new collaboration for the 2023-2024 synchronized skating season! Together, the two organizations will field a joint Juvenile and Novice team, bringing skaters from across New England together in

these nationally recognized divisions!

 

Training at both The Skating Club of Boston and The Colonial Figure Skating Club, the teams will be led by leadership from both Team Excel and The Colonials. We look forward to providing skaters the opportunity to grow and succeed with this collaborative endeavor!

 

Tryouts for both Juvenile and Novice will be held on the following dates:

March 11, 2023

Juvenile: 6:30-7:20pm

Novice: 7:30-8:20pm

Nashoba Valley Olympia

34 Massachusetts Ave. Boxborough, MA.

 

March 19, 2023

Juvenile: 2:00-2:50pm

Novice: 3:00-3:50pm

SKATER SAFETY & WELLNESS PROGRAM

Colonial Figure Skating Club (CFSC) strives to provide a healthy and supportive Club environment, free from misconduct or harassment, which ensures the safety and well-being of its members.  The Compliance and Safety Committee of CFSC has created the Skater Safety and Wellness Program Handbook which outlines a program of prevention and education, establishes a system for reporting and resolution of misconduct or safety concerns, and defines an accountability structure that requires responsible adults to act on suspected harassment, misconduct or other safety issues.

COMPLIANCE REMINDER

Coaches must have their insurance certificates on file with the Colonial Office, and must be COMPLIANT with USFS to coach on Colonial sessions.

Colonial possesses one of the nation's most experienced, proven, and effective team of coaches. Our staff is comprised of more than forty top professionals, all of whom belong to the Professional Skaters Association (PSA), and many of whom have coached regional, national, and international medalists, and hold United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) gold medals in figures, freestyle, and dance. This professional team offers first-rate coaching in the fields of free skating, moves in the field, dance, pairs, off-ice training, ballet, modern dance, and choreography, all in a modern facility that consists of three ice surfaces, a weight room, ballet studio, and administrative offices. Former Olympians, national and international coaches, and experienced show performers round out the wealth of experience from which our skaters benefit.
