Chair of Professionals Committee
I have been a member of Colonial for the majority of my life both through my skating career and coaching career. Colonial has a very special place in my heart. I chose to be on the board to help our rebuilding process and to keep our club at the top of the skating map. When I am not at the rink I am enjoying time with my two sons. I thoroughly enjoy my role as hockey and running mom when I’m not wearing my coaching hat.
My daughter Alice is a new member of Colonial Figure Skating Club, having joined the club last summer. We have enjoyed getting to know other families and coaches and appreciate the sense of community that the club encourages. When I am not chauffeuring our kids to the rink, I am a chemistry professor at Assumption University. I feel that the leadership roles, committee work, and advising that are a significant part of my professional life will allow for me to become an effective board member. effective board member.
We moved to Acton in August 2021 and my daughter joined the Colonial skating club with Edge and Performance group class and soon joined the Synchro and Theater on ice Intermediate team. Being a parent of an enthusiastic skater, I am thankful for the Colonial skating club for providing a nurturing environment for skaters of all ages.
Fundraising and Adult Skating
I'm a competitive adult skater, I've been a member of Colonial for over 10 years and skate on the Colonials Open Adult synchro team. I wanted to be on the board to help continue to make Colonial a welcoming and supportive environment for every skater. In my non-skating life, I'm a project manager for a technology company. You can usually find me cheering on the Boston sports teams with a cup of coffee in hand.
I am a former figure skater and coach. My daughter and I have been at Colonial for seven years. Being involved in Figure skating for over 50 years led me to want to be on the board and to make CFSC the best possible club for all skaters.
Skater Safety and Wellness Membership Committee
My daughter Rebecca, age 10, has skated with Colonial for the past 6 years. We have enjoyed the sense of community at the club! I joined the board to provide a voice for the younger club members and families. When I am not at work, school or at the rink, I enjoy spending time in New Hampshire with my family, particularly skiing and boating.
My daughter Emmi and I have joined Colonial Skating club just about two years ago. I am also an adult figure skater myself. Emmi and I felt so incredibly welcomed when we joined the club. I want to extend this opportunity to other future skaters and families. Emmi has improved so much in a short time while working with amazing coaches at Colonial.
Professionally I am a dentist in my own private practice in Ludlow, Ma. As a health care professional, I am always on the lookout for everyones’s safety and well being.
When not working or at the rink I am spending time with my family skiing and playing tennis. My middle daughter and I are also competitive tennis players and I am also helping with her coaching.
