Director of Events and Marketing
2021-2022 Board of Directors
Chair of Professionals Committee
Gala Celebration Committee
I have been a member of Colonial for the majority of my life both through my skating career and coaching career. Colonial has a very special place in my heart. I chose to be on the board to help our rebuilding process and to keep our club at the top of the skating map. When I am not at the rink I am enjoying time with my two sons. I thoroughly enjoy my role as hockey and running mom when I’m not wearing my coaching hat.
My family and I have been at Colonial since 2013 when my daughter Emelyn started in the learn to skate program. We have now been involved in the Synchro program for six years and Emelyn is now an 8th grader and skates on the Open Juv team. I have been in the energy business for 30 years and currently work as a business developer for a company that owns energy generation projects in the US and Canada. My wife (Annabel) and I recently celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary and we live in Bedford. When not at the rink we like to spend our get-away family time on Cape Cod.
Awards & Recognition Committee
Batya joined the board in 2021. She is currently the board's treasurer, chairs the finance committee, and also serves on the awards and recognition committee. Serving on the board is her way to give back to a club that fosters a love of skating with an inclusive and supportive environment for young skaters.
Fundraising and Adult Skating
I'm a competitive adult skater, I've been a member of Colonial for over 10 years and skate on the Colonials Open Adult synchro team. I wanted to be on the board to help continue to make Colonial a welcoming and supportive environment for every skater. In my non-skating life, I'm a project manager for a technology company. You can usually find me cheering on the Boston sports teams with a cup of coffee in hand.
I am a former figure skater and coach. My daughter and I have been at Colonial for seven years. Being involved in Figure skating for over 50 years led me to want to be on the board and to make CFSC the best possible club for all skaters.
Nancy Shridhar, and her daughter Anika, have been members of Colonial FSC for 5 years. She is employed as a Senior Tax Analyst and Tax Instructor for H&R Block. In her free time, she likes to take her 2 pups for long walks in the woods and bake cookies.
Skater Safety and Wellness Membership Committee
My daughter Rebecca, age 10, has skated with Colonial for the past 6 years. We have enjoyed the sense of community at the club! I joined the board to provide a voice for the younger club members and families. When I am not at work, school or at the rink, I enjoy spending time in New Hampshire with my family, particularly skiing and boating.
