ICE CRYSTALS SHOW HANDBOOK

SHOW DETAILS:

• Kick Off Meeting: (Tentative) February 2026 (Informational meeting, should be attended by one parent/guardian per participating skater)

• Show Practices: March - April 2026, Typically SUNDAY AFTERNOONS for Learn to Skate, Aspire, No Test to Senior Groups and Opening Numbers; other groups to be scheduled based on enrollment. 

• Show Picture Day: Saturday in late March or early April, date and times TBD

• Full Show Rehearsal: April 26, 2026

• Mandatory Dress Rehearsal (evening): Friday, May 1, 2026

• Ice Crystals MATINEE Performance: SATURDAY, May 2 2026, 1:00 p.m.

• Ice Crystals EVENING Performance: SATURDAY, May 2, 2026, 6:00 p.m.

 

** The schedule is subject to ice availability provided by NVO, and will be sent out mid February. Schedules will be communicated via weekly emails. Practice ice is generally Saturdays and/or Sundays.

WHAT IS IT?

Ice Crystals is the Colonial Figure Skating Club’s Annual Ice Show. The show brings together skaters of all ages and levels, along with a special guest skater, for a fun-filled performance!​

 

WHO CAN BE IN THE SHOW?

All skaters that are Colonial Figure Skating Members, from Learn to Skate to Adults!

WHERE IS THE SHOW?

Right here at NVO! Rehearsals are on Rink 3, and the show is on Rink 1.

WHEN ARE SHOW PRACTICES?

Rehearsals begin in early March 2023, and the show is on May 2, 2026. Practices are typically on Sunday afternoons, with the exact time to be determined based on enrollment numbers. There will also be a MANDATORY dress rehearsal on Friday, May 1st.​

 

HOW DO WE REGISTER FOR THE SHOW?

• When you register, you will need to enter your skater’s measurements for their costume. Please see the graphic on the back side of this page for instructions.

• Costumes are ordered in January for all skaters, and measurements are important to ensure proper sizing. Costumes do not necessarily follow typical clothing sizes, so the measurements are essential. Please submit all measurements in inches. Contact the Colonial office (978-263-3450) if you need help measuring.
