Alex began skating at the age of four in Yekaterinburg, Russia. He studied Freestyle, Pairs and Ice Dancing at the Sports School of Olympic Reserves in Yekaterinburg. At sixteen, Alex moved to Moscow to attend the Institute of Physical Culture. In 1993, Alex immigrated to the United States.
Skating Accomplishments:
- 1997 US National Championships, Championship Dance - Competitor;
- 1997 Pacific Coast Sectional Championships, Championship Dance - 1st place;
- 1996 US National Championships, Championship Dance - Competitor;
- 1996 Pacific Coast Sectional Championships, Championship Dance - 4th place;
- 1991 Russian National Championships, Junior Dance - 7th place;
- USFSA Gold Medalist in Dance and Free Dance and Junior Moves in the Field.
Alex has been coaching full time in the US since 1993. His students have completed Gold Freestyle, Gold Moves in the Field, and Pre-Gold Dance tests. His competitors have medaled at the New England Championships. At Junior Nationals, Alex has had competitors in Freestyle, Pairs and Ice Dance.
